Verona was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and putting together puzzles. She also loved traveling to Lancaster, PA with her late husband.
She retired as a seamstress after 40 plus years from Watson and Gant Shirt Factory.
She is survived by one daughter, Juanita Abbott of Salisbury; one son, Daniel Parsons and his wife, Janet of Salisbury; grandchildren, Jacob Kerns, Heather Hayward, Victoria Parsons, and Nicholas Parsons. In addition to her late parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Willie Henry “Buddy” Parsons; and her daughter, Deborah Ann Parsons Kerns and her husband, William “Tiny” Kerns.
Following cremation, Verona will be laid to rest with her husband in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery Eastern Shore in Hurlock. A Celebration of Life will be held for Verona and her sister, Deborah "Debbie" Anne Kerns on Saturday, April 18 at 1:00 p.m. at Wicomico Youth Civic Center, 500 Glen Ave., Salisbury, MD
