Virginia E. “Mommom” Burke, 87, of Salisbury passed away Monday, January 14, 2019 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born in Salisbury she was the daughter of the late Willie and Mable Parsons.

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and puzzle books.

She is survived by her three children, Patricia L. Taylor and her husband John, Ella Lovett and her husband Verlin, and James Burke and his wife Deborah; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; four brother; a sister; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband James William Burke in 2013; three grandchildren; and seven brothers and sisters.

A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday at 11am at Riverside Cemetery in Libertytown. Rev. Oren Perdue will officiate.
