Abel Gonzales

Abel R. Gonzales, born on a ranch in Seguin, TX on February 17 or 18, 1918 (his exact birth date remained a mystery) lived a complete life with a family who loved him, debated with him, which he liked and shared lots of laughs with. He was a Barber for almost 80 years, a profession he loved and continued to do until his passing. On December 29, 2015 at 97, he was reunited with his guardian angel and wife of 67 years, Eulalia and his son Abel. He was surrounded by family until his last moments, shepherding him into his next life. He is survived by his daughter, Alicia Reygadas (Richard); son, Arthur A. Gonzalez (Elsa); grandchildren, Abel, Melanie (Simon); Arthur (Michelle); Kathleen (Bradley), great-grandchildren; Savannah, Arthur, Simon, Eleanor, Aliyah, Ty, Jaylin, Evangelina, and Rozalyn. Visitation will being at 5:00 p.m.,Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Roy Akers Funeral Home with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A Chapel Service will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Interment to immediately follow in San Fernando Cemetery II. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Dr. L.Tecuanhuey and Complete Care Home Health and Hospice, especially R.N. Betty.
