Alfonso O. Rodriguez

Alfonso O. Rodriguez, who was also known to many as Poncho, was born on March 8th, 1941. He was called to be with the Lord on January 23, 2026. Alfonso was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend. His presence brought love, laughter, and many great memories to all he came in contact with. As a hardworking father and husband, Alfonso spent 45 years dedicated to working in the welding field, and was happily married to his wife for nearly 60 years.

Alfonso is survived by his loving children Shirley Owen (Gilbert), Diana Gonzalez (Pablo), and Alfonso Jr. (Lupe), along with his sister Angie Riojas. His legacy lives on through his 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Beatrice, his brother Roger, and his mother Velia Rodriguez.

Alfonso enjoyed spending time with friends and family, traveling, and gambling. He had a true zest for life and found joy in the little things. Alfonso will be remembered as a hardworking.

Visitation will begin on February 10th, 2026 from 5:00pm-9:00pm. The rosary will begin at

7:00pm at Roy Akers Funeral Home (515 N. Main). Mass will be on February 11th, 2026 at St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church which begins at 10:00am. Committal Services will be at the

Fernando Cemetery #2 (746 Castroville Rd.).

He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
