

Alfred was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 47 years, Maria E. Landin; his son Alfred L. Landin IV; and his parents, Alfred P. Landin Jr. and Victoria Velasquez.
He is survived by his son Anthony L. Landin and Anthony’s children, Jaedyn A. Landin, Joseph E. Landin, Aliviana Landin, and Carina Landin; his daughter Angela L. Landin and her partner Mercedes Amill; and his daughter-in-law Mandy A. Landin, widow of Alfred L. Landin IV. Alfred is also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Alfred N. Landin V and Lauren E. Landin, his sister Diana Alonzo and her husband Joe Alonzo, and six grandchildren in total.
Alfred lived a full and joyful life centered around family, faith, and friendship. He was a talented drummer, playing in a band and serving with the church youth group at St. Jude Catholic Church. An avid golfer, he was a proud member of the Bogey Bunch and rarely missed a chance to be on the course. At home, Alfred found peace working on his lawn and great joy BBQing for his family on weekends, bringing everyone together around food and laughter.
A proud Texas Longhorn dad and lifelong lover of golf, Alfred will be remembered for his dedication to his family, and the many lives he touched through music, faith, and friendship.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
A visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, located at 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205, on January 29, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A rosary will take place at the same venue on January 29, 2026, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The funeral mass is scheduled for January 30, 2026, at St. Jude Catholic Church, 130 S San Augustine Ave, San Antonio, TX 78237, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.
A graveside service will follow on January 30, 2026, at San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.
