Andrea T. Peña

Andrea Trevino Peña passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. She was born in Pearsall, Texas on November 30, 1935. Andrea retired from civil service after 36 years and was a faithful attendee of water aerobics, tai chi and meditation classes.

Andrea is loved and will be missed dearly by her children, Joe Peña, Jr., and wife Bernadette, Grace Hernandez and husband Benito, Jessica Rodriguez and husband Raul (Roy), and Linda Ann Muñoz and husband Joe; her most precious grandchildren, Robert (Bob) Gonzalez (Sylvia), Daniel Gonzalez (Sandy), Bianca Rocha (Michael), Anastasia Perez (Steve), Benjamin Peña (Ana), Alexander Rodriguez, Celeste Perez, Brandon Muñoz & Jalynn Muñoz. Her great grandchildren, Ella Rosa, Oziel (Ozzy), Rosalia (Rosie), Madeline (Maddie), Araceli, Izobel, Josilas, Leela, Samiah, Noah and Levi, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Andrea is survived by her sister, Anita Alaniz, sisters in law, Ann Treviño and Winifred Treviño. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Peña, Sr., her brothers, Jose (Pepe) Treviño, Frank (Sonny) Treviño, Jr., and her parents Francisco Treviño and Victoria Gallardo Treviño.

Visitation will be held at Roy Akers Funeral Home, 515 N. Main Ave., San Antonio, Texas 78205 from 5pm until 10pm on Friday, June 28, 2024, with a rosary recited at 7pm. A Memorial Mass will be held for Andrea and her husband Joe Peña Sr on Thursday, July 18, 2024 @ 10am at St. Ann Catholic Church with placement following afterwards as Mission South Burial Park, 1700 SE Military Highway, San Antonio, Texas 78214.
