Arnaldo "Rod" Rodriguez

April 21, 1947 – August 25, 2025

Arnaldo “Rod” Rodriguez, 78, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025. He was born on April 21, 1947, in Cayey, Puerto Rico.

Rod is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Rosemary Rodriguez; his daughter, Jolene Holguin (Henry Holguin), preceded in death by his son Jimmy Grijalva, and surviving son Stephen Rodriguez,    his cherished grandchildren Daniel Holguin, Krystina Holguin, seven additional grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Hector Rodriguez and Bolivar Rodriguez JR

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bolivar Rodriguez Rivera and Hilda Lavergne.

Rod lived a full and humble life. A lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan and avid golfer, he found joy in the simple pleasures—family, sports, and quiet strength. As a teenager, he proudly represented Germany in the Little League World Series, a memory he often recalled with pride and a smile.

Above all, Rod was a modest and kind-hearted man, deeply devoted to his family. His quiet presence and steady love will be missed by all who knew him.

A visitation for Arnaldo is scheduled for Sunday, September 7, 2025, from 3:30 PM to 6 PM. This will be followed by Army Military Honors commencing at 4 PM, and subsequently a memorial service. All these services will occur at Roy Akers Funeral Home, located at 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, Texas, 78205.
