Aurora loved spending her time gardening. You could always find her outside watering, trimming plants, or sacando hierbas. She loved to read and sing. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting. Every baby born into her family was welcomed by a hand knitted blanket, sweater, cap, and baby booties. Furthermore, she loved to cook. No one could walk through the door without being offered a homemade meal and you could always look forward to the best; everything from homemade tortillas to bistec empanizado y chiles rellenos, all straight from the heart. Aurora took pride in her cooking and it was always a gift to her family and others. She was invited to make tortillas for former presidents George Bush Sr. and Bill Clinton during their presidencies, as well as singer Vicente Fernandez. Above all else, Aurora truly dedicated her life to her family. Her love was endless and unconditional; a love that was made of sacrifice and deep devotion. She will be missed dearly by all who loved her. The family will be receiving guests at the funeral home on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A procession will depart the funeral home on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 9:15 a.m. to celebrate a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1321 El Paso.
