Bertha Elizabeth McCarthy, age 93, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022. Bertha was born August 11, 1928 in Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota to her parents Beulah and James Smith. She was the youngest of 12 children. She is preceded in death by her son Dale, and survived by her remaining children; son Dean, daughters JaLinda and LaCinda, and daughter Charlotte, 2 stepsons, Joe and Tim, 2 stepdaughters Mary and Rita, as well as 9 beloved grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Bertha will be held Friday, March 18, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Forest Hills Presbyterian Church, 13200 Bandera Rd., Helotes, Texas 78023. The service will be livestreamed on their Facebook page.
