Betty Lavern Knight, born in San Antonio, Texas on October 22, 1926, entered into eternal rest on May 29, 2015 at the age of 88. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Knight, and sons, Rodney and Volney. She is survived by her son, Kurtney and Fran Knight, daughter-in-law, Kathy Knight; grandchildren, Ovela Knight, Volney Knight, Edie Knight, Lonnie Knight, Betsy Gonzales, Joe Shannon, Debbie Norment; great-grandchildren, Skyler and Volney Knight, Emery and Sara Dunn, Maddie and Garrett Knight, Bryce and Kodie Smith, Ryan Matt and Kaycie Shannon, Hunter Norment, Drew and Tauslyn Reiley, Michelle Norment and Dakota. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Roy Akers Funeral Home, 515 N. Main Ave. A chapel service will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery No. 3.
