Carmen P. Casas

Carmen P. Casas went to be with the Lord on November 16, 2023. Carmen was born September 17, 1935 in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico. Mrs. Casas worked for 29 years for the Department of Housing and Urban Development where she rose from a secretarial position to the Director of Multifamily Housing in Washington, DC. Carmen was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Wilberto Casas, Sr., whom she first met while in high school. She is survived by her sisters, Dr. Lydia Prado Pelegrina and Blanca Prado Catoni; her children, Ray Casas and wife Andrea, Michael Casas and wife Kristin, Joe Casas and Lona, Wally and Julio Solla, Maria and Matt Bjorngjeld, and Jerry Casas and Jerrold. Carmen has nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Roy Akers at 515 N. Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205 on December 14, 2023. Doors open at 11:00 AM with funeral services at 11:30 AM. Gravesite services at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1:30 PM.
