Charles Granato, born on March 30, 1924 entered rest on January 17, 2010 at the age 85. He was a native of San Antonio, born the youngest son to Francisco and Vicenza Granato. He honorably served in the U.S. Army until 1945. He married Elizabeth Spahn of Seguin, Texas on December 1, 1946 in San Antonio. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters-in-law: John and Mary Granato, Alfred & Margie Granato, Albert Granato; sisters and brothers-in-law: Josephine & Sam Orlando, Vera & Herman Vento, Rose Whittington, John Lucadello. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; sister, Lena Lucadello; brothers-in-law, Lloyd Whittington and A J Johnson, Sr.. A Visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. , Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers. A Rosary will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with a Mass at 2:00 P.M.. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
