Our beloved mom went to be with the Lord on October 8, 2016 at the age of 94. Clara G. Garcia was born in Karnes City Texas. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Tony Garcia, parents, and brothers and sisters-in-law. She is survived by her daughters and their spouses Diane Hawkins (Bob), Irma Giddens (Rick), Marylou Brittingham (Mark), 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday October 18, 2016, rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday October 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, internment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Many thanks to all her caregivers at Brookdale, and very special thanks and gratitude to Alamo Hospice for their staff‘s compassion and loving care provided by Lynette Sralla and her team. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
