Dorothy L. Quinton

Dorothy graduated from Douglas Wheatly High School and continued her education in Nursing and Office Management from St. Philip’s College and Incarnate Word College.

She is survived by her beloved husband Alvin Quinton of 32 years. She was a free spirit who lived life to the fullest. Proud loving mother that wanted nothing but the best for all of her family.

Dorothy leaves to cherish her loving memories to her children; Lonnie (Pamela) Blevins-Las Vegas, Nevada; Larry (Elaine) Blevins-Clarkston, Michigan; Carlette Jackson-San Antonio, Texas; Debra Robinson-Atlanta, Georgia; Rhonda Coleman (Chrystalynn)-Long Beach, California; Tyrone (Arlene) Howard, Gainesville, Virginia; Kevin Douglas Quinton-Little Rock, Arkansas, Alvin Louis Quinton-San Antonio, Texas; and Tiffany Quinton-Houston, Texas. She also leaves behind her 25 adoring Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The presence of one so dear is no more, but precious memories are engraved in our hearts forever.

A Visitation will be held Thursday, March 21 at Roy Akers Funeral Home - 515 N. Main Ave. 78205 - from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. that evening. On Friday, March 22, the Funeral Service will take place at Greater Love Missionary Baptist Church - 1534 Peck Ave. 78210 - at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
