Edwin "Bobby" William Franke Jr.

Edwin " Bobby" William Franke, Jr., age 87, passed away March 28, 2014. A native of San Antonio, he was born on August 1, 1926. He served in the National Guard and retired from Ft. Sam Houston. Bobby dedicated his life to raising and loving his family. He spent time doing projects in his workshop and loved to fish and hunt. He made the best barbecue and enjoyed doing things around his house. He spent time bowling at Hermann Sons where he was a member of Siemering Lodge No. 32. He also loved to win at poker and dominoes. Bobby was known for his generosity, his smile and great sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Rieger Franke. He is survived by children: Jack "Snuffy" Franke, Sharon Fitzpatrick, and Donna Hoss; grandchildren: Jennifer Vandersteen and husband Rich, Tyson Fitzpatrick and wife Traci, Jodi Hoss, Tiffany Crawford and husband Michael, Jesse Hoss, Andrew "Trey" Fitzpatrick, III and wife Keri; 14 great-grandchildren and various nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday April 1, 2014 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers. A Funeral Service will also be held at the funeral home, Wednesday April 2, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Bulverde, TX.
