She enjoyed living in the city and the many amenities that it had to offer. She loved her Highland Hills neighborhood but was perfectly content to stay indoors and watch television. On week-ends, she and Charlie would often make the trip to Seguin to visit her family. They also enjoyed taking many vacation trips together.
In 2009 when Charlie’s health began to fail and he was moved to a nursing home, Elizabeth decided that she too would leave her home and go with him. She moved into Northeast Rehab and spent the last 10 years being pampered by the staff. The family thanks the staff at Northeast Rehab for their attentiveness to her needs and for making her feel at home during the last chapter of her life.
