Grandma is what I was fortunate enough to call her. I've lost one of the most important people in my life. She was one special lady and the loss of her is a pain shared by many who also loved her. 
My grandma was the strongest and most God-fearing woman I will ever know. There will never be another as caring and kind as her. This important woman that God placed in my life will be missed deeply. I will never forget her kind words as well as her eager attitude to help another. She loved her kids, grandkids and husband unconditionally.
Thank you Grandma for demonstrating how to handle life with Grace and ease. I love you very much, you truly were a unique woman.You may have passed on but your memories will always live on with us .Thank you for your sacrifices your care and concern. Your in a much better place .I will be forever grateful and thankful that you are my grandmother.

My dear Aunt Sylvia had a heart of gold.  I am eternally grateful for all her prayers for me throughout my life.  All she wanted was for us to find the same joy in the Lord that she had.  Her constant devotion to Jesus and to sharing his word set a perfect example.  She suffered, but never complained.  God must have a special place for her.  May God receive you in victory and with all the love you deserve, Aunt Sylvia.

Sylvia, was such a beautiful kind Lady,Opened her home to me and my husband and Showed us every bit of San Antonio!  And when she was in SLC  we met for lunch with here Mom . When I return to San Antonio she pick me up to take me to see the City and lunch and prayers !! My deepest condolences to her family and prayers for you all!!

I had just moved from Mathis, Texas to San Antonio for my Senior year of high school.  I was standing in a long line to register at Fox Tech High School.  Coming from a small town where I knew just about everybody, I was very nervous because I did not know anybody in this line.
I started praying, "Lord, please send me a Christian friend, so I won't feel so alone."
All of a sudden this pretty girl with long hair and very friendly eyes walked up to me and asked, "Did I see you with the Belmarez girls at a Culto Unido?", which was a Christian youth rally held by the Assemblies of God churches.
I replied, "You must have!"
Sylvia and I started talking and found out that we lived near each other and would be riding the same bus home.
She was always looking for me at school and I was always looking for her because she was so friendly and we got along so well.
This was the beginning of a wonderful, decades-long friendship.
Sylvia had a lot of friends and she introduced me to several of them.  She'd often invite me to Sion, her church, and we'd walk together to services.  We enjoyed each other's company and would attend parties and spend time at Brackenridge park with the Belmarez sisters.
When her family moved to a bigger house, she called my dad and told him there was a house for rent nearby, so our families could live closer.  ---  And so we did move.
Sylvia was different from most young girls our age.  If she saw someone who seemed to be troubled or needed some help, she was always the first to approach them.  She would help them, pray with them, and often lead them to the Lord.
I learned a lot from Sylvia in her Christian life.  She was so close to the Lord, in her devotion, in her compassion for others and for the unsaved.

Not only was she an answer to my prayer, but she was a good example of a Christian.
I wish with all my heart that I could be here tonight with Sylvia, my friend, but I will see her very friendly eyes again

Aunt Sylvia even though I met you once 4 years ago when my Dad was in the hospital in San Antonio, I could tell you were a very loving and caring person as you offered us a place to stay for the night.
Thank you  for being there along with your husband and sisters  during our time of need. God has one more Angel in Heaven.

Aunt Sylvia was the sweetest person you could ever meet.  Her positive attitude could help anyone see the bright side when times were tough.  I most remember her for her love for God and a warm and loving voice.  Thank you for being a wonderful Aunt.  You will be missed.  But I smile because I know you are rejoicing in Heaven in your mother’s arms!

Every time I would see Aunt Sylvia she would ask me the two most important questions. How’s your family and how are you with the Lord, not necessarily in that order.  Everything she did was trying to improve those areas of her life. We will miss you auntie but will see you again.

My sister, Sylvia, was one of the  most loving and giving individuals I’ve  ever known.  She had such a positive attitude, no matter the circumstances. Her utmost priority in life was to spread the Good News.....and she did! I can just hear the Lord saying...
     Well done, my good and faithful servant!

I will miss you, Sylvia, until we meet again. Love you.



Aunt Sylvia always had a smile on her face and a positive attitude. She always trusted in God regardless of her circumstances. Truly a wonderful woman with lots of love for everyone. She will be missed.

Aunt Sylvia was a very caring, compassionate, giving person. She was always very loving and when she spoke to you it was a very calming experience. She devoted her life to her children, grand children, and great grandchildren. She's finally at rest. 

My condolences to my dad along with the rest of her family. 

I will always remember my  sister Sylvia's  smiling face and beautiful character. It didn't matter what the situation was, her faith in the Lord and her love for her kids,  grandkids and great-grand kids, were always included in her conversation.  Nothing ever kept her from testifying about the Lord. She even approached complete strangers and talked to them about salvation.  By the time the conversation was over, they prayed together and that stranger gave their life to the Lord, his/her phone number, and a promise that they would go to church.

When she was not feeling well, she didn't complain. I would call her and ask her how she was feeling.  Her first words were , "WONDERFUL! , THANK YOU JESUS! "

A perfect example of being a Christian and and complete  replica of our mothers, Maria Trevino and Grandmother, Josefa Saucedo.
They would be proud.
