Eva Cervantes, Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt & Friend, 75 years of age, of San Antonio, TX entered into eternal rest on May 24, 2024.
She is preceded in Death by Salas Brothers (Albert, Manuel, Eddie, Pete), Mireles Brothers (Adolpho, Arturo, Alfredo, Alejandro) and Sisters (Amelia De La Fuente, Alice Salas & Hortensia Canales). She was born to parents, Pedro S. Salas & Rosalia Gamez on June 02, 1948.
She is survived by her Husband (Edward Cervantes | Married April 25, 1963 |Celebrated (61) years of Marriage), Daughters (Denise Gonzalez (Husband, Joe Gonzalez), Grace Cervantes), Grandsons (Eddie Garza, Jaime Carmona) , Great Grandson (Toby Garza). Numerous Nieces and Nephews, including Rosie Pena & Thomas Criado (Wife, Linda).
In her Career, she initially sought a Degree in Child Development. In 1980, she was employed as a Teacher, at "Marbach Christian Church". Shortly thereafter, she worked as the Assistant Director, until 2008.
From 2008 - 2023 Eva was a Caregiver for a precious Woman, who became a very dear Friend to her, Mary Hackett.
Throughout the years, she frequently reached out to the Group of Prayer Warriors who would gather at Mary's Home. Eva would request Prayers for those who were going through trials & struggles. Pastor Samuel Matta was their Spiritual leader & provided guidance in their Christian Faith.
Eva had names written & placed in her Bible, for those she was praying for. She prayed for the Salvation of her loved ones, which Included those, outside her immediate Family.
Her Faith in the Lord was strong
Without hesitation, she would offer support in whatever capacity, was needed. Her selfless acts, empathy & compassion made a difference in the lives of many she touched. Eva made a point, of always sending & extending her Love to everyone.
In her Final months, she embraced, guided & prepared much for her Family. They meant so much to her. Eva held her beloved Husband (Eddie), in such high regard. She wanted to ensure, Life would go on without her, until they Reunite one Glorious Day.
Eva & Family are so grateful to everyone... for their support, encouragement & Prayers. She asked, that her Family recognize & thank Pastor Samuel Matta, his wife Esther & his Daughter (Melanie) for coming to her Home, offering their love & lifting her up in Prayer. They were truly a Blessing to Eva & her precious Family... Now, in their time of need.
Eva was at Peace. She stated. "I'm ready to go be with the Lord."
Revelation 21 Verses 1 - 4: He will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself will be with them; [4] he will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain any more, for the former things have passed away.
