Guadalupe Salas Ruiz, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, entered into eternal rest on December 14, 2011, at the age of 80. She was born in Pawnee, Texas to parents Justo and Fransisca Salas, on January 19, 1931. Guadalupe will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and five of her siblings. Guadalupe is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Andres; children, Sylvia (Deacon Raul, Sr.), Patsy (Hector), Andrew and Luis; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be on Sunday, December 18, 2011, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m., at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers. A procession will depart the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 19, 2011, for an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1321 El Paso St. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
