Helen J. Perez, 89, went to be with her Lord on November 30, 2017. She was born August 13, 1928 to Jose and Juanita Jimenez in Saspamco, Texas. Mrs. Perez worked in the insurance industry for over 50 years. She enjoyed spending time with family, and friends, playing bunco, traveling and watching her evening Novellas. She is preceded in death by her parents; her late husband: Gilbert. She is survived by her children: Steven Perez (Julie), and Rebecca Perez; brother: Rudy Grayzell; sister: Yolanda Jaini; grandchildren: Amy Saldivar (Matthew), Steven Perez Jr., and Zachary Perez (Clarissa); great-grandchildren: Ella and Ryland Saldivar; and numerous other relatives. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel Roy Akers Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. On Wednesday, December 6, 2017 the Funeral Procession will depart at 9:30 for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at St. Paul’s Catholic Church 350 Sutton Dr., with interment to follow at San Fernando II Cemetery.
