Joan M. Ballantine

Joan M. Ballantine entered eternal rest in San Antonio, TX, on May 16, 2016 at the age of 82. Born on October 4, 1933 in Chicago, IL, to Jim and Margaret Gallagher; she now reunites with her parents; husband of 40 years, Kenneth C. Ballantine; and granddaughter, Nicole Garcia. She is survived by her children: Kenneth R. Ballantine, Margaret R. Deleon (Jaime), Kevin R. Ballantine, Keith R. Ballantine (Deanna), Michelle A. Child (Thomas); granddaughters: Allison Mae Ballantine, Abigail M. Child, Madison N. Child; brothers, Ronald Axelson (Sharon), William Axelson (Gayle), nieces: Kelly Antonson, Kate Kazich (Darren), Kristen Speciale; and nephews, Ronald Axelson, and William Axelson. Joan was a sales account manager for over 20 years. She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, cards, and pressing her luck gambling or on slot machines. She was a social and opinionated person but loved to be in the presence of her family and friends. Her most memorable moments were spent with her grandchildren.
