Josefina A. Malacara

Josefina Cobos Malacara, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, entered into eternal rest, on October 04, 2011, at the age of 77. She was born in Laredo, Texas, to parents Jesus M. and Susie B. Cobos, on August 27, 1934. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Josefina was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters. She is survived by her loving husband of over 54 years, Octavio; daughters, Ana and Marta(James); sons, Octavio Jr. (Paula) and Mario; sisters, Francisca Paz and Eloisa Jones; brothers, Jesus, Blas, George and Rodolfo; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 11, 2011, from 12:00 to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., at Sunset North Funeral Home, 910 N. Loop 1604 (78232). Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 8500 Cross Mountain Trail (78255), at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2011. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 11:45 a.m. The family requests that pink be worn on Tuesday and bright colors on Wednesday. The family wishes to acknowledge Pastor Rosa at St. Luke’s Baptist Hospital for her care and support of the family and Josefina through her passage into eternal rest.
