Loretta K. Saenz

Loretta Kuehne Saenz, age 94 born February 10, 1919 of San Antonio, TX, passed away after a short illness on May 22, 2013. Loretta worked during the “Rosie the Riveter” era, as a welder for 29 years at Ed Fredrick’s Air Conditioning. She was a strong, independent woman who was able to raise three daughters on her own. She also enjoyed her time playing Bunco with Mary Ellen and the ladies from St. Cecilia’s. She was preceded in death by her parents Freda and Otto Kuehne, husband Camilo Saenz Jr., sister Irene Kuehne Vargas, daughters Judy Ann Lugo and Patsy Jeanet Saenz and grandson Dean Stanley Minesinger. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Mary Ellen and William David Minesinger. She was blessed with 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and niece Irene Rose Cardosa. Honorary Pallbearers; William David Minesinger II., Daniel Thomas Minesinger, Aurelio Minesinger, Daniel Thomas Minesinger II, Julian Alejandro Minesinger, David Wayne Minesinger, and Vanross Alexander Wells. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Rosary being recited at 7:00pm. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30am on Monday, June 3, 2013 for a 10:00am Funeral Mass at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery III.
