Lydia Luna Valdez

Lydia graduated from Fox Tech High School. During her high school years she volunteered at Christ The King Catholic Church, where she would cook for Father at 15 years old. Following her graduation, she would go on to work at Lackland Air Force Base and the San Antonio Light Newspaper. Additionally, she worked at QVC, the famous shopping channel. She worked most of her life to provide for her family. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, listening to music, watching tv as well as going to the movie theatre. Lydia's presence will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in passing by both of her parents, Minnie and Henry Luna; brother, Henry Luna Jr.; sister-in-law, Elvira Lopez; her brothers-in-law, Desi Valdez, and Rudy(Rosa); and friends, Evelyn and Molly. Lydia is survived by her three sons, Michael A. Valdez, Anthony H. Valdez, and Christopher D. Valdez; her grandchildren, Nathan Valdez and Noah Valdez; her sisters, Sylvia Arriaga, May Ann Berain, and Becky Long; her brothers; Rudy Luna (Peggy) and Richard Luna (Yoli); her sister-in-law, Mary Jane Soto; and her brother-in-law, Manuel Valdez(Mary Ann); as well as countless nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Lydia will be held Monday, July 3, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205.
