Maria Elena Garcia de Rojas

Maria Elena Garcia de Rojas, age 90, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. Maria was born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico to Maria del Carmen and Francisco Garcia Ruiz. She owned a bridal shop in San Antonio named Desiree's Bridal Shop and loved crafting, decorating, traveling, and cooking for her family during the holidays. She also enjoyed making flower arrangements and going out to dance with her Seniors Club at The Royal Place. Maria Elena is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of over 50 years, Raymond Rojas; and her daughter, Mary Boruck. She is survived by her other 4 children, Carmen Munoz-Reinartz, Louis Ray Rojas, Rosie Rojas-Castillo, and Rogelio Rojas; her 12 grandchildren, Desiree Anastasia Chinchilla, Dana Andrew Reinartz, Daniel Jacob Reinartz, Louie Jesse Beltran, Raymond Rojas, Nathaniel Rojas Velasquez, Rogelio Rojas Velasquez, Annette Sulls Reyes, Michael Sulls, Itzpa Rojas Rau, Ehecatl Chumacero Rojas, and Kuautli Rojas; her 5 sibling, Ana Maria Guadalupe de Garcia, Francisco Garcia, Esperanza Salgado, Irma Yolanda Morales, and Sara Garcia; as well as numerous great grandchildren. A visitation for Maria will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, Texas 78205. The funeral procession will depart Roy Akers the following morning, Thursday, March 16, 2023, at 10:30 AM for a funeral mass at 11:00 AM at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 5919 Ingram Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78228. Burial will follow at San Fernando #2 Cemetery, 746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78237.
