Maria A. Mendoza

Maria A. Mendoza, 80, went to be with her Lord on June 28, 2017. Maria was born on August 16, 1936 to Juan Sanchez and Leonor A. Queroz in Laredo Texas. Maria was a loving wife and mother, and her greatest joy was raising her children and spending time with her family. She was a wonderful cook, and her family will always remember enjoying numerous meals. Maria is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Tomas Zuniga, and her second husband Roger Mendoza.

She is survived by her children: Janie Escobar (George), Roy Zuniga, Cynthia Orta (Roland), Anthony Zuniga (Leslie), Linda Martinez (Robert), and Tomas Zuniga (Berlinda); numerous grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel Roy Akers 515 N. Main Ave. on Wednesday July 5, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., with the Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. The funeral procession will depart on Thursday July 6, 2017 from the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at San Jose Mission Catholic Church 701 E. Pyron Ave. , with burial to follow at San Jose Burial Park.
