Maria C. Silva

Maria C. Silva, age 98, of San Antonio, Texas very peacefully went with The Lord on Thursday, March 21, 2024. Maria was born in San Antonio to Dominga A. and Florentino Cordova. She received her GED in February of 1985 and went on to work for San Antonio Independent School District. Maria also received the Distinguished Service Award from the SAISD Board of Education for her work.

Maria is preceded in death by both of her parents and her husband of 65 years, Felix M. Silva. She is survived by her 6 children, Delia (Ruben A.) Rodriguez, Fred (Irma) Silva, Robert (Rosalba) Silva, Mario (Brenda) Silva, Michael (Susan) Silva, and Johnny (Angie) Silva; her 19 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A visitation for Maria will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 5:00 PM with a rosary to begin at 6:30 PM at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 2004 Chihuahua St, San Antonio, TX 78207. A funeral mass will take place Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 2004 Chihuahua St, San Antonio, TX 78207. Burial will follow at San Fernando 2 Cemetery, 226 Cupples Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237.
