Marie Salinas, age 94, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. She was born in Dillon, Montana on May 5, 1929 to Basilio Vasquez and Luz Medrano. She belonged to St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church. Marie loved to dance when she was younger, as well as attending to fiestas and listening to music. She was passionate about gardening; she loved plant roses. Marie also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Marie will be united in heaven by her husband Filiberto P. Salinas; brother Tommy; sisters Bertha, Virginia, and Lucy.
Marie’s memory will forever live in the hearts of her children Felix, Danny, Eddie, Sally, Irene; daughters-in-law Rose, Annabelle, Angie; son-in-law Ruben; 14 grandkids; and 15 great-grandkids.
Marie will be missed by those who knew her.
A visitation for Marie will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205. A rosary will occur Wednesday, May 8, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 210 St Ann St, San Antonio, TX 78201. A graveside service will occur Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 1:30 PM to 1:50 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
