Martin proudly served his country as an Army veteran during the Korean War. Following his military service, he dedicated many years of his life to working at Randolph Air Force Base, where he retired in the early 1980s. As a warehouse manager, Martin achieved high ranks and earned numerous certifications for his dedication and expertise in his field.
Martin was a man of many talents. He was a gifted handyman and woodworker, always ready to fix things for others. His passion for helping people extended beyond the home—he was an active member of his church and took joy in contributing to his community. An avid traveler, Martin enjoyed seeing the world, and he also found great pleasure in the simple things, such as spending time in nature.
In his free time, Martin loved playing poker, visiting casinos, and listening to 50s and 60s music. He was a fan of classic western films, particularly fond of The Lone Ranger. His love for animals, especially his pets, brought him much joy, and his playful spirit will be deeply missed by those who knew him.
Martin is survived by his sister, Mary Arriaga; his nephew, Jesse Arriaga; and his many nieces and nephews, including Tom Ayala, Jerry Ferguson, Leroy Ferguson, Gilbert Flores, Henry Weaver, Jim Weaver, Teresa Arriaga, Lillie Arriaga, and Irene Arriaga. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elvira Arriaga, and his parents.
Martin's legacy of kindness, loyalty, and love will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
