

Maria Olga Flores Rodríguez, beloved wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went to be with the Lord on February 15, 2015 at the age of 85. She was born in Floresville, Texas on February 28, 1929, to parents, Cesario and Virginia Flores.
Olga is survived by her daughters, Lupe Braid and Yolanda Rodríguez-Escobar (Manuel); grandchildren, Desirée Castillo (Ernest), Felicia Carrillo (Francisco), Andrea Rose Gallegos, Manuel Arturo Rodríguez-Escobar, and Analysse Escobar; great-grandchildren, Julia, Jeremy, Jocelyn, Jianna, and Gabriella; sister, Viola Ortiz, brothers, Jesse Flores and Cesario Flores.
Olga is also survived by her wonderful caregivers, Dora, Carlos Leija and their daughters who became part of her extended family.
Olga was a loving individual who touched many lives, including nearly thirty children she cared for as a home babysitter. She had an infectious laugh, was an excellent baker, loved her “viejito,” daughters, and grandchildren.
The family will be receiving guests at the funeral home on February 19, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A procession will depart the funeral home on February 20, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. to celebrate a 10:00 a.m. Mass at San Alphonsus.
