

Serapio Ayala Jr, 93, entered into eternal rest on June 4, 2016 in San Antonio, TX, after a lengthy battle with heart problems and cancer. Born in Laredo, Texas on January 17, 1923, and parented by Serapio Sr. and Maria Ayala; he now reunites with his parents and wife, Consuelo Ayala. He is survived by his sons: Serapio IV and wife Gretchen, Richard, Roland; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Serapio served his country during the WWII conflict. His battles included the Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, and Rhineland tours. He was a recipient of: American Theatre Campaign Medal, EAME Campaign Medal with 5 Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, Victory Ribbon, and 2 Overseas Service Bars. The family will receive guest at Roy Akers funeral home on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from 5:00 p.m.-9:00p.m. A celebration of life will continue on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 in Roy Akers Chapel at 9:30a.m. Interment will follow in Ft.
