Virginia M. Monsivais

Virginia M. Monsivais went to be with the Lord on July 20, 2015, at the age of 85. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alvaro and Aida Mata, and her husband; Humberto C. Monsivais. She is survived by her children; Alma Esquivel (Rudy), Elsa Neaves (Roland), David Monsivais (Margo), Jerry Monsivais (Yolanda), Leo Monsivais (Pamela), grandchildren; Andrea Zelenak (Justin), Caroline Elaine Esquivel, Sarah Esquivel, Alicia Neaves, Isaac Neaves, Danielle Monsivais, Amanda Monsivais, Lauren Monsivais, Jessica Monsivais, Vanessa Monsivais, Ashley Monsivais, great-grandchildren; Luke Monsivais, Ella Page Zelenak, Rowan McCartney Zelenak, brothers; Robert Mata (Carmen), Raymond Mata (Tina), brother-in-law; Arturo Monsivais, sisters-in-law; Angelina De Pena, Angelica Teneyuca, Graciela Carrillo (Rosario), Viola Medellin and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers Funeral Home, 515 N. Main Ave., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A procession will depart the funeral home at 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 for a 9:00 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at St. Mary Magdalen’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
