

Antonio L. Campos, lovingly known as “Tony,” passed away peacefully at the age of 89 on February 22, 2026, at Windsor Atrium Nursing Facility in Harlingen, Texas, surrounded by the love and memories of the family he cherished so deeply.
Antonio was born on September 30, 1936, in Brownsville.
Preceding him in death is his beloved wife, Lucinda Campos; his parents, Concepción and Augustina Campos; his sisters Sophia C. Silguero, Ignacia C. Nuñez, Juanita C. Cortez, Maria C. Oakley, and Modesta “Molly” Campos, Enriqueta “Queta” Quiroz; his brothers Encarnación “Chon” Campos, Agustín Campos, and Florentino “Pino” Campos; and his grandson, Ramon L. Cruz.
Tony dedicated many years of his life to Brown & Root, where he served as a respected shipyard project manager. He took great pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic, leadership, and unwavering sense of responsibility.
He is now reunited in eternal rest with his beloved partner, Lucinda Campos. He leaves behind a family who will forever carry his love and lessons in their hearts: his children, Rafael Campos; Cynthia Marquez and husband Albert Marquez; Myra Garcia and husband Oscar Garcia; and Vanessa Cruz and husband Enrique Cruz.
Antonio was a proud and loving grandfather to Heather Marie Campos, Miranda Marie Ralston (Jason), Oscar Javier Garcia (Kendra), Joshua Marquez (Estephanie), Enrique Cruz Jr.(Candice), and Kristopher “Kris” Cruz, and a great-grandfather to Judson Thomas Ralston, Dreden Ramon Cruz, and Lindsay Rae Cruz. Nothing brought him greater joy than seeing his grandkids grow, attending their extracurricular activities when he was still able to and spending time with those he loved most.
He is also survived by his siblings, Lupita Bosserman and husband David Bosserman, and Petra “Pat” Robertson, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
Though he is no longer with us, his legacy continues to live on in his children and grandchildren, and the memories he created will forever be remembered in our hearts.
He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Mont Meta & Memorial Park, 26170 State Highway 345, San Benito, Texas 78586, on March 7, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.
The Burial of Ashes will take place at Mont Meta Memorial Park, 26170 State Highway 345, San Benito, Texas 78586, US, on March 7, 2026, at 11:00 am.
