

With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Eva Olvera Rubio, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who peacefully entered the presence of the Lord on September 15, 2025 at the age of 73.
Eva was born on October 14, 1951 in Mexico, and her life was a beautiful testament to love, faith, and service. A devoted servant of God, Eva’s heart was dedicated to ministering, worshipping, and sharing the love of Christ with all those she encountered. She spent countless hours in service to her church and community, offering guidance, prayer, and comfort to anyone in need. Her unwavering faith was a beacon of light for those around her, and her love for God was evident in every aspect of her life.
Eva’s love for worshipping God extended beyond church services—she was often seen joyfully singing, praising, and dancing in the spirit, a testament to the joy and peace she found in her faith. She believed that worship was not just an act but a lifestyle, and she exemplified this every day.
In addition to her devotion to God, Eva had many passions that brought joy and fulfillment to her life. She loved fishing, finding peace and solace by the water as she connected with nature and God’s creation. Her talent in the kitchen was unmatched, and she delighted in preparing meals for family and friends, always ensuring there was enough to share. Her cooking, much like her love, was seasoned with care, joy, and the warmth of her spirit.
Eva’s love for life extended to dancing, where she found freedom, joy, and expression. Whether it was a quiet moment at home or an energetic celebration, Eva’s feet often moved with grace, her heart full of praise and joy.
She leaves behind her children, Joseph Charles Scott (Guadalupe/Rosemary), Richard Eli Scott (Maria), Nelda Jeanette Sierra Figueroa (Jose) (Laura), Pedro Sierra III (Yvette) and Miguel Angel Martinez (Brianna), her beloved grandchildren, Eva Maria Scott, Joseph Charles Scott Jr., Ellwyn Nicholas Scott, Kaylene Natalie Scott, Brandon Anthony Scott, Brihanna Lee Scott, Benjamin Travis Scott, Noah Jesse Figueroa whom is in the U.S. Navy, Pedro Sierra IV, Santos Sierra and Elodie Rose Martinez, and many other family members and friends who were touched by her love, kindness, and unwavering faith. Eva’s legacy of faith, joy, and service to others will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
She is Preceded in Death by her husband, Ellwyn Charles Scott, her mother, Sara Castillo, her father, Jesus Olvera, her siblingings, David, Guadalupe and Concepcion.
Eva Olvera Rubio will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her legacy of worship, love, and service to God will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her. May she rest in peace, dancing forever in the presence of the Lord.
A Visitation for Eva will be held Sunday, September 21, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, at Funeraria Del Angel Mont Meta, with a Prayer Service to follow at 7:00 PM.
A Chapel Service will be held Monday, September 22, 2025 at 1:00 PM, at Funeraria Del Angel Mont Meta, with a Burial to follow at 2:00 PM at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
