After attending school in Brownsville Joe enlisted in the US Army – proudly serving abroad in Germany and rising to the rank of Sargeant. Honorably discharged in 1967, Joe moved to the Chicago area and worked with his good friend and army buddy Jim Anzelmo where Joe became a successful businessman in the graphic arts machinery business.
