Luis Gonzalez Perez

Luis was a talented carpenter who loved working with his hands. He collected old vintage furniture and picture frames. He had a talent for revitalizing and transforming them into beautiful works, giving them new life or restoring them. His nephews and nieces will remember Luis fondly as a joker who always found ways to make them laugh. He also enjoyed his dogs, who loved him and will miss him fondly.

Luis was survived by his siblings Santiago Perez of San Benito, TX; George Perez of Corpus Christi, TX; Dora Lopez of Harlingen, TX; Marcos Perez of Harlingen, TX; Sylvia P. Trevino of San Benito, TX; Alma Perez of San Benito, TX; Gilberto Perez of Harlingen, TX; and Soto, his furry companion and friend.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Roberto F. Perez and Rosa G. Perez; his brother, Leonel Perez; and one nephew, Victor Ray Najar.

A visitation for Luis will be held Sunday, July 20, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Mont Meta, 26170 State Highway 345, San Benito, TX 78586.

A celebration of life will be celebrated on Monday, July 21, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Funeraria Del Angel Mont Meta. Christian burial will follow at 11:00 AM at Mont Meta Memorial Park, 26170 State Highway 345, San Benito, TX 78586.
