Carol was born in Plainfield, NJ, on August 2, 1947, to Dale Cowan and Elaine Ferguson. Carol attended Michigan State University, where she met her husband, William. They were married on July 12, 1967, in Lansing. During their 58-year marriage, they raised two daughters, lived and traveled abroad, restored two beautiful homes, and planted many beautiful gardens. Carol was a woman of deep faith who led Bible study for many years. She was a patriot who loved this nation and our God.
An active athlete, Carol played tennis and racquetball, ran, and walked her beloved dogs. She was an animal lover who owned cats, dogs, and once even rescued a neighbor’s bunny, who then became her cherished pet. Carol was also a gifted artist, designer, and creator of beautiful things, specializing in the fabrication of gorgeous window treatments and other home finishes. Together, she and William restored antique furniture and cabinetry to museum-level quality, once spending an entire summer restoring an antique piano that their daughters learned to play. She was an avid supporter of the arts and a successful grant writer for the Atlanta Master Chorale.
Survivors include her husband, William M. Yadlosky, of Atlanta; her daughter, Kristen Yadlosky, of Atlanta, GA; her daughter, Amy Davis (James), of Fort Collins; and her grandchildren, Will and Ansley Davis.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Cathedral of Christ the King. Following the Mass, the family will receive friends at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to Atlanta Master Chorale.
