.C. Robert Gifford, of Marietta, died March 15, 2014. He was born in Macon, GA and raised in Metuchen, NJ. He graduated from the University of Georgia and earned his MBA from Georgia State University. He served in the US Army. Mr. Gifford had a successful career as a stockbroker and portfolio manager. His family was the center of his life. He enjoyed travel, music and golf. He was known by many as a history buff. And it was not unusual for him to pepper his conversations with interesting historical facts. He was an avid UGA football fan. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Sandy Springs Chapel, 136 Mt Vernon Hwy, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
