Christine Grooms Canfield

Mrs. Christine Grooms Canfield, 87, of Springtown Texas and a former resident of Sandy Springs until 2010 went to be with the Lord on September 21, 2011. She was born on February 27, 1924 in Bulloch County. She was preceded in death by her husband Mark B. Canfield and her son Craig L. Canfield. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Kaye Jackson Jenkins and Brett Jenkins of Saginaw, TX; Penny Jackson Farr and Nelson Farr of Sandy Springs, GA; Jill Jackson of Springtown, TX; Glen Canfield Sweet and David Sweet of West Chester, PA and sons and daughters-in-law, James Alan Jackson and Charlene of Chattanooga, TN; Mark Canfield of Virginia Beach, VA; Joyce Canfield (Mrs. Craig Canfield) of Marietta, GA. Grandchildren also survive her, Shannon Jordon, Jennifer Mann, Russell Jackson, Matthew Jackson, Sarah Nell Mayo, Evan Sweet, Mark Canfield, Margaret Canfield and 5 Great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church. Dr. John Beyers and Rev. Kate Floyd will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs. Mrs. Canfield had been a member of Grace United Methodist Church since 1964. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 458 Ponce De Leon Ave. NE, Atlanta, GA 30308.
