Sam passed away suddenly on August 8, 2025, at the age of 87 at his current home in Hiram, Georgia.
Sam grew up in and around the Buckhead area and attended North Fulton High School. He proudly served as a Marine Corps Reserves veteran. He was the successful owner and operator of Holbrook Contracting as a grading contractor for over 50 years.

Sam is survived by his daughter, Kim Holbrook Teefy; son, Greg Holbrook, and his wife Kim; grandchildren, Nicole Teefy Staebler (Tommy), Ashley Teefy, Dylan Holbrook, Brady Holbrook; great granddaughter, Charlotte Staebler; and his ex-wife and friend, Glenda Holbrook.
