

David Owen Savini, 94, of Atlanta died August 21, 2015. Born January 15, 1921, David attended Tech High ’39 and Georgia Tech ’43 ’47. He married Mary Avanell Smith on October 17, 1948. They were married for 48 years. At age 87, he married Dorothy Castellaw Beasley. He was loved and will be greatly missed by his son and daughter-in-law, Leonard and Irene Savini of Peachtree Corners, GA; his granddaughter Caroline Savini and grandson David Savini; his stepchildren, Charlene and Bill Clegg of Social Circle, GA and their family, and his stepson, Charles W. Beasley, III of Sister Bay, WI. He was a past president of the Atlanta Chapter of the American Institute of Architects and Campus Architect Emeritus of Georgia Institute of Technology. He was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church before joining the First Baptist Church of Social Circle. He was also a longtime leader of Boy Scout Troop 67 of Peachtree Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association. Graveside Inurnment Services will be held Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mt.
