James J. Garvey, age 88, of Sandy Springs died December 27, 2016. He was the former National Sales Director for Proctor and Gamble and served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII and the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife, Doris E. Garvey, his daughter Lorena Zatcoff, both of Sandy Springs; his sons, Chris Garvey of Roswell and Michael Garvey of Tifton; four grandchildren, Michael Wall, Dorian Garvey, Michael Patrick Garvey, Jr. and Mollee Garvey. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. A Funeral Mass will be said Monday, January 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in Dunwoody. Rev. Msgr. Hugh M. Marren will serve as celebrant. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 1, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Sandy Springs Chapel, 136 Mt. Vernon Hwy. NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
