

Jim served in the US Army in the 1950's. He graduated from the University of Chicago obtaining a degree in Music. Jim was an accomplished singer, and also played the trumpet and piano. He traveled the country with many famous bands including Nat King Cole and Lawrence Welk.
On December 5, 1950 he married Nina Lee Lussardi, and in 1956 they had a daughter, Karon Lee. Nina and Jim lived in Richmond , VA and enjoyed fishing and boating on Chesapeake Bay and Rappahannock River. They were happily married until Nina's death in 1989.
In 1963, Jim began a successful career with the US Chamber of Commerce where he developed many of the programs, protocols, and policies in use today. He retired from the Chamber in July, 1994.
In 1992, on a blind date, arranged by mutual friends, he met Rebecca Joyce Gowens. Jim and Becky married in February, 1993, and in July ,1995 moved to Port St Lucie, FL to "live below the frost line" and play golf year round. Jim was an avid golfer, and when not playing. he followed all the tournaments on tv. Jim developed a love of cooking and embraced new technology. He could often be found reading or listening to music on the latest smart phone or tablet.
Jim is preceded in death by an infant son, his first wife, Nina, and his parents. He is survived by his wife Rebecca, daughter Karon Bianco, and step children Gregg Mallins, Gretchen Mallins, Stacy and Jim Guerin. Grandchildren Anthony Bianco, Amelia Bianco, and James Guerin, Jr.
