Mr. John Pratt Gunter, age 83, of Gainesville, GA died October 12, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Gunter, on February 1, 2010. Survivors include his daughters, Mary Ellen Scull of Gainesville; Lea Anne Thomas and her husband Gary L. Thomas of Chandler, AZ; sons John Alton Gunter and his wife Jerri S. Gunter of Graham, WA; Steven Gunter and his wife Renee Gunter of Acworth, GA; sister Helen Barbara Gunter Godley of Boca Raton, FL. Also surviving are grandchildren, John Harrison Gunter, Rachel Scull Rowell, Mark Hamilton Scull, Kaitlyn Marie Thomas, Sarah Elizabeth Gunter and Logan Sanders Thomas; 3 great grandchildren and 3 nieces. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12 noon until 1 p.m. at Sandy Springs Chapel and then proceed to Arlington Memorial Park for Graveside Services. Rev. Mark Nysewander will officiate.
