John Randall “Randy” Hughes, age 70, of Memphis, Tennessee and former resident of Dallas, Texas, died January 27, 2015 in Atlanta, GA. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force and was a graduate of Memphis State where he received his Marketing Degree. He was a devoted Father and Grandfather and is survived by his four children, Allan Cross of Memphis; Mary Armstrong of Memphis; Phillip Hughes and his wife Christie of Sandy Springs; Shawn Hughes of Plano, Texas; and 5 grandsons and expecting the 6th in a few months. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 30, 2015 at 2 o’clock at Sandy Springs Chapel. The Rev. Jaime Rivera will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross or the VFW. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Sandy Springs Chapel, 136 Mt. Vernon Way NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
