While in college, she met and later married Edward James Wilkinson in July of 1963. They divorced in 1982.
Judy is survived by four daughters: Cindy Abel (Kevin), Julie Wilkinson (Edward McCarthy), Mary Ianniello (Joseph) and Laura Wilkinson; as well as her grandchildren: Danielle, Juliana, Eric, Melina and Bella. Judy was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Alma Greenberg and Paula Jean Reel. She is survived by her three sisters, Sister Mary Paul Larson, Phyllis Boehm, and Kathy McCormick.
Judy was a Christian, who had a strong faith, she was very active in Christian ministries and was consistently praying for others. She was artistic and had a knack for drawing birds and flowers. You will be missed Mom, Aunt Judy, Grandma, sister. We are all happy to have had you in our lives. We will cherish your silliness, merry laugh, and beautiful voice in our hearts forever.
Cremation has taken place and a private family celebration of her life will occur as soon as the Covid-19 pandemic permits. Judy’s family would like to give great appreciation to the many Ross Memorial Health Care Center staff that made her life so much better since 2018, as well as the medical staff of Kennestone Hospital and the hospice staff at Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to the National Alliance for Mental Health (NAMI), Hand of Hope, or you can contribute to the A Meal In Honor of Judy fund that will be used to feed a meal to healthcare personnel that cared for our mom so unconditionally.
