She is survived by her sons George Waverly Goodwyn III (Chip), Andrew Goodwyn and daughter Jennifer Goodwyn, her grandsons Georde Goodwyn, Charlie Goodwyn, Bryce Goodwyn, Tyler Goodwyn and granddaughter Katie Goodwyn.
Born the fourth of 5 girls in Red Bank, NJ on July 1, 1939 to William and Gertrude Lynch, Lynda grew up in Red Bank and attended St. James Catholic grade school and graduated from Red Bank Catholic High School in 1956.
Lynda attended Rosemont College where she developed a love for the Arts and acted in all of the school’s plays as well as neighboring towns’ plays for the duration of her time at Rosemont. She earned a Liberal Arts degree and teaching certificate in 1960.
Lynda then embarked on a career in Education teaching primarily elementary school children ranging from 2nd grade to 7th grade for over 30 years. Her teaching career was interrupted only to raise her 4 children in several cities across the country.
Lynda was a passionate and devoted family woman. She cherished spending time with her family, especially around the dinner table surrounded by her children (and later grandchildren) with a restaurant quality meal prepared by her husband of over 60 years, George. She and George loved to travel the world in their retirement years to such locales as Italy, Ireland, Spain, Montreal, Quebec, and the California wine country region
Lynda will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
