A daughter, sister, wife, grandma and mother. She was born and raised in Peekskill, N.Y. and lived part of her life in Rochester N.Y., moving to Atlanta, GA in 1995. Survived by her loving mother Marion Boddie, her granddaughter Serenity and her seven children; Micheal, Jason, Craig, Colleen, Kayla, Krista, Stephen and by her husband Douglas Hayden who will be in love with her to the end. Melanie's sisters Tina and Krystal, and brothers Kyle and Brian loved her very much. Melanie's has nieces Tiffany and Katelyn and nephews Hunter and Lucas.
Melanie loved to live life to the fullest by doing the things she loved most; making people laugh and have fun, making arts and crafts with her kids and she was an enthusiastic baker. She would surprise us with baked cinnamon rolls, soft pretzels, cheese cakes and assorted pasteries for everyone to enjoy.
But now Melanie is an angel with her father Patrick Boddie in heaven, rest in peace.
