He had long-time clients, some of whom even traveled from out of state for his creativity. Michael had a talent and love for music all of his life which ultimately led him to perform with The Atlanta Symphony Chorus under the direction of Robert Shaw. He was also a creative consultant with the Georgia Ensemble Theater, and he sang in The First Baptist Church Sandy Springs Choir where he was a member. Michael loved the outdoors, especially the North Georgia mountains where he loved hiking, and actually lived there for many years in a cabin. He was a lover of the sun and sand as well and took many trips to the Emerald Coast to visit friends. Michael was known for his sense of humor and he always left everyone a little better than he found them. To know Michael was to love him, if you spent any amount of time with him you left smiling and still smiling. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Webster Willis and Inez Kirk Willis, and his brother John Webster Willis. Survivors include his sister, Susan Willis Updegraff, nieces, Ashleigh Hynes, Paige Atchison and Rebecca Parker; great nieces Elizabeth Decker, Ember Horne and Jessica Parker, great nephew, Evan Michael Atchison; great great niece Ryleigh Buice.
