

Thomas Anthony Timlin, 71, passed away April 13, 2012. Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania on March 11, 1941, Tom proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1964-66. He worked in Pittsburgh before coming to Atlanta in 1970. He met his wife Martha Donnell Timlin, from Lebanon, Tennessee, in June of 1971 and they married in March of 1972, therefore recently celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. Tom has worked the past 28 years at Manry & Heston, Inc and has been a longtime devoted member of Peachtree Road United Methodist Church. Martha and Tom have three amazing sons, two lovely daughters-in-law, and two precious grandchildren: Susuan and Michael Timlin, Ella and Carson of Athens, GA; Jill and Stephen Timlin of Atlanta, GA; and John Timlin of Atlanta, GA. Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Irma and Thomas Timlin. He is survived by a brother, Frank Timlin and sister-in-law Neenah Timlin of Columbia, MD, and Aunt Rosetta and Uncle Matt Devito of Baltimore, MD, and Aunt Contance Dorsey of Glenshaw, PA. Thomas Timlin will be dearly missed. He truly touched the lives of everyone he met. A Memorial Celebration will be held Monday, April 16, at 2pm, at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church (3180 Peachtree Road NW, Atlanta, GA 30305). In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Winship Cancer Institute in honor of the 8E Nursing Staff (Emory Winship Development Office 1762 Clifton Road Suite 1400, Atlanta, GA 30322) or to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (www.lls.org).
